How We Work

How to Refer

We are happy to see referrals from:

  • Occupational physicians
  • Respiratory physicians
  • General practitioners

Please include results and location of any previous imaging or lung function tests along with the referral.

You should send a written referral via email to referrals@occlung.ie

Post Referral

Once referral has been assessed and triaged, we will arrange a consultation in consulting rooms through the Mater Private Network in the Republic of Ireland and the Ulster Independent Clinic in Northern Ireland.

For any general queries please contact info@occlung.ie.

Reports and Outcomes

  • A full clinical report will be sent to the referring clinician with any advice/modifications being recommended where appropriate.
  • If a report is required for an employer, for patient confidentiality, only relevant details will be included rather than a full clinical report (which would be provided for a referring clinician)
  • If referred by an Occupational Physician, it is the occupational physician who will ultimately advise on work place modifications/adjustments and liaise with the employer.
  • Any clinical reports are to help get the worker back into the workplace or diagnose a condition which can then be assessed for potential return to work with adjustments/accommodations
  • If further clinical information is required, the client may need to sign a consent form to allow the release of previous clinical information such as breathing tests and blood tests
